Take notes on the consultation
Sam transcribes the conversation at the chair when you start the recording and files a structured note in the client history.
Help · Sam
Sam is the AI co-pilot in Saloncare. Sam reads your numbers, records consultations and proposes levers; the decision always stays with you and your team. This page explains what Sam delivers, where the limits are and how your data is protected along the way.
The basis
An assistant that carries everything around the work, so you can stay at the chair.
Sam is not a second programme you have to open, it is a layer that runs along inside Saloncare. Sam listens during the consultation when you start it, summarises what was discussed and files the note cleanly in the client history. Sam reads the numbers from the cockpit and answers questions about them in plain language, without you having to build a spreadsheet.
The attitude behind it is deliberately restrained: Sam prepares, Sam suggests, Sam reminds. Sam does not rebook on its own, sends nothing without your approval and makes no professional judgement about hair or skin over your head. You keep your hand on the wheel; Sam passes you the information at the right moment.
Capabilities
Sam transcribes the conversation at the chair when you start the recording and files a structured note in the client history.
From a photo Sam derives a first assessment, as a suggestion for your consultation, not as a diagnosis.
Sam proposes colour formulas from the history and states the risk warnings; the approval is yours.
From the treatment Sam forms a care plan in your client's language, printable at the till.
Ask Sam about revenue per chair, utilisation or shrinkage; the answer comes in one sentence, with its source.
Sam spots follow-up opportunities, such as reorders that are due or clients who have not been in for a long time, and reports them calmly.
Voice control
On the tablet at the chair and in Saloncare Pro you start Sam with the wake phrase “Hey Sam”, followed by your question or your instruction. The microphone is active only while you are speaking or recording a consultation; after that it switches off. A small marker shows at all times whether Sam is listening.
Voice commands are meant as short, natural sentences. You do not have to learn commands by heart; phrase it as you would to a colleague.
Data protection
Trust is the precondition, not the extra.
Recordings only happen when you start them, and the microphone is not permanently open. Your client is informed before a recording; the digital consultation form and the satisfaction question record the consent. Transcripts and notes are stored encrypted and belong to your salon, not to us.
Your data sits on servers in Germany and is processed under the GDPR. Sam uses your salon's content to help you in the salon; your client data is not used to train anyone else's models. You can view, correct and delete notes, and you keep sovereignty over the export.
Limits
Sam is an assistant, not a replacement for your judgement. The professional responsibility at the chair stays with the stylist. Today Sam works with your till and your calendar; both remain your existing system, which Saloncare connects to. Where Sam is unsure, Sam says so instead of guessing.
In numbers
Read these values as examples; your salon shapes how much Sam takes on.
