No long minimum term
There is no minimum term beyond twelve months. Many plans run monthly; where an annual commitment applies, it is clearly stated before the contract is concluded.
Legal
Saloncare is a tool for your business, not a consumer product. This page explains why the statutory consumer right of withdrawal generally does not apply here, and how you end the contract cleanly instead. We keep the commitment short, because trust cannot be forced.
Context
This is an English translation provided for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.
Saloncare is aimed exclusively at businesses and self-employed professionals, that is, at entrepreneurs within the meaning of the German Civil Code. If you use Saloncare for your salon, your studio or your chair, you conclude the contract in the exercise of your commercial or self-employed activity.
That has a clear legal consequence: the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts applies only to consumers. For contracts between businesses that particular right of withdrawal does not exist. There is therefore no fourteen-day withdrawal period for you in the consumer law sense, because the statutory preconditions are not met.
So that you can still start without risk, we replace a statutory consumer withdrawal with a fair, clearly governed way of ending the contract. It is described below and in our general terms and conditions.
Our promise
Four principles that govern every ending of a contract at Saloncare.
There is no minimum term beyond twelve months. Many plans run monthly; where an annual commitment applies, it is clearly stated before the contract is concluded.
An email is enough. You need no recorded delivery and no form; a message to the address below suffices for your cancellation to take effect.
Before and after the contract ends you can export your data in a common format. We give you enough time for that before we delete anything.
Periods already paid for but not used are settled according to the rules of your plan. No hidden fees, no penalty for leaving.
Term and cancellation
The rules below apply in addition to your individual plan. What governs is always the specific agreement you confirmed when concluding the contract.
Plans billed monthly can be cancelled to the end of the current billing month. The platform stays usable until the end of the paid period; after that access ends.
Where an annual term is agreed, the minimum term is at most twelve months. Where agreed, the contract renews for a further twelve months unless it is cancelled with one month's notice to the end of the term. We do not agree commitments beyond twelve months.
The right to terminate for good cause is unaffected on both sides. Good cause exists, for instance, where the agreed service cannot be delivered on a lasting and material basis.
A cancellation must be in text form. An email to the address below is sufficient. What matters for the deadline is our receipt of your declaration; we confirm receipt.
The service case
Saloncare is a digital service provided on a continuous basis. As soon as your salon is set up and you are working with the platform, the service begins immediately with your agreement. That is another reason why no statutory consumer right of withdrawal applies here; the special right of withdrawal is designed for consumers, not for contracts between businesses.
We replace that absent consumer right with the fair cancellation described above and with a non-committal start: you can get to know Saloncare during the onboarding phase before any longer commitment arises. That way you can consider calmly whether the intelligent layer above your existing point of sale and booking system suits your business.
In numbers
The figures below describe the actual rules, not a non-binding example.
How to proceed
Contact
Ending a contract is not an administrative act, it is a conversation. If something is not right, tell us before you cancel; the cause can often be resolved faster than a switch would cost. If you decide to leave anyway, we make it easy for you.
You can reach us by email at hello@salon.care. The full contractual rules are in the general terms and conditions; on the processing of your data see the privacy policy.
Note: this page explains the legal position in plain terms and does not replace legal advice in an individual case. The final contract terms will be reviewed by legal counsel before the production launch.
