Legal

End it when it suits you.

Saloncare is a tool for your business, not a consumer product. This page explains why the statutory consumer right of withdrawal generally does not apply here, and how you end the contract cleanly instead. We keep the commitment short, because trust cannot be forced.

Context

A contract between businesses

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.

Saloncare is aimed exclusively at businesses and self-employed professionals, that is, at entrepreneurs within the meaning of the German Civil Code. If you use Saloncare for your salon, your studio or your chair, you conclude the contract in the exercise of your commercial or self-employed activity.

That has a clear legal consequence: the statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts applies only to consumers. For contracts between businesses that particular right of withdrawal does not exist. There is therefore no fourteen-day withdrawal period for you in the consumer law sense, because the statutory preconditions are not met.

So that you can still start without risk, we replace a statutory consumer withdrawal with a fair, clearly governed way of ending the contract. It is described below and in our general terms and conditions.

Our promise

A short commitment, clear routes

Four principles that govern every ending of a contract at Saloncare.

No long minimum term

There is no minimum term beyond twelve months. Many plans run monthly; where an annual commitment applies, it is clearly stated before the contract is concluded.

Cancellation in text form

An email is enough. You need no recorded delivery and no form; a message to the address below suffices for your cancellation to take effect.

Your data stays yours

Before and after the contract ends you can export your data in a common format. We give you enough time for that before we delete anything.

Billing pro rata and honest

Periods already paid for but not used are settled according to the rules of your plan. No hidden fees, no penalty for leaving.

Term and cancellation

How you end the contract

The rules below apply in addition to your individual plan. What governs is always the specific agreement you confirmed when concluding the contract.

Plans booked monthly

Plans billed monthly can be cancelled to the end of the current billing month. The platform stays usable until the end of the paid period; after that access ends.

Plans booked annually

Where an annual term is agreed, the minimum term is at most twelve months. Where agreed, the contract renews for a further twelve months unless it is cancelled with one month's notice to the end of the term. We do not agree commitments beyond twelve months.

Termination for cause

The right to terminate for good cause is unaffected on both sides. Good cause exists, for instance, where the agreed service cannot be delivered on a lasting and material basis.

Form and receipt

A cancellation must be in text form. An email to the address below is sufficient. What matters for the deadline is our receipt of your declaration; we confirm receipt.

The service case

When the service starts immediately

Saloncare is a digital service provided on a continuous basis. As soon as your salon is set up and you are working with the platform, the service begins immediately with your agreement. That is another reason why no statutory consumer right of withdrawal applies here; the special right of withdrawal is designed for consumers, not for contracts between businesses.

We replace that absent consumer right with the fair cancellation described above and with a non-committal start: you can get to know Saloncare during the onboarding phase before any longer commitment arises. That way you can consider calmly whether the intelligent layer above your existing point of sale and booking system suits your business.

In numbers

The commitment, clearly quantified

The figures below describe the actual rules, not a non-binding example.

How to proceed

The route to ending it

  • Send us an email to hello@salon.care stating that you wish to end the contract, and name your salon and the contract number on file.
  • We confirm receipt and tell you the exact end date according to the rules of your plan.
  • Export your data through the platform; on request we will help you export it in a common format.
  • After a reasonable period we delete your data in line with data protection law, unless statutory retention obligations prevent it.
  • For questions about billing, write to the same address; we settle open periods transparently.

Contact

We answer, person to person

Ending a contract is not an administrative act, it is a conversation. If something is not right, tell us before you cancel; the cause can often be resolved faster than a switch would cost. If you decide to leave anyway, we make it easy for you.

You can reach us by email at hello@salon.care. The full contractual rules are in the general terms and conditions; on the processing of your data see the privacy policy.

Note: this page explains the legal position in plain terms and does not replace legal advice in an individual case. The final contract terms will be reviewed by legal counsel before the production launch.

Questions

Frequently asked questions.

Do I as a salon have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal?

No. The statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts applies only to consumers. Saloncare is aimed at businesses and self-employed professionals; for contracts between businesses that particular right does not exist. In its place we offer a fair, clearly governed cancellation.

Is there a minimum term?

There is no minimum term beyond twelve months. Many plans run monthly and can be cancelled to the end of the month. Where an annual term is agreed it is at most twelve months and is clearly stated before the contract is concluded.

What notice period applies on an annual plan?

On plans booked annually you can cancel with one month's notice to the end of the term. If you do not, the contract renews, where agreed, for a further twelve months. We do not agree commitments beyond twelve months.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

You can export your data in a common format before and after the contract ends. After a reasonable period we delete it in line with data protection law, unless statutory retention obligations prevent it.

Can I end the contract early for good cause?

Yes. The right to terminate for good cause is unaffected on both sides, for instance where the agreed service cannot be delivered on a lasting and material basis.

Does cancellation cost anything?

There is no fee for the cancellation itself. Periods already paid for but not used are settled according to the rules of your plan. There is no penalty for leaving.
